Ah! Sometimes it’s nice to just do a big splashy painting inbetween fiddly, complicated ones. This one took around 40 minutes, all in all :) I’ll stick it on the eBays a little later on today.

I built this box from scratch - You might say it’s bigger on the inside. You might say that, but it’s not true. Or is it? It’s not. But crank the handle and you’ll hear the timeless lullaby ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, which is precisely what our Amelia did. That’s the story, and that’s how it began :) I’ve painted the girl who waited on the front of the box in acrylic, and painted her own words around the sides. I’ve signed and titled the back of the box. A low gloss varnish will ensure that your music box will stand the test of time. And space. Geronimo!
