My living room. Tonight. Early September.
Madison’s nightly medical routine was a little rougher than usual this weekend, as we knew it would be. To throw a magic blanket over the crapness I decided that we should start Christmas a little bit early. A lottle bit early, really. Thanks to the overwhelming stubborn ways of my inner child (and the pretend outer grown-up) and the undilute kindness of amazing friends. Christmas happened today - starting with a surprise front porch full of gift wrapped presents, including books, toys, records and an absolute abundance of spray snow. It *is* the Summer of the soul in December, but we tricked it into being a year round thing. Now I have the tree up, covered in Halloween lights. That’s where it’ll stay. <3
“At one time most of my friends could hear the bell, but as years passed, it fell silent for all of them. Even Sarah found one Christmas that she could no longer hear it’s sweet sound. Though I’ve grown old, the bell still rings for me as it does for all who truly believe.”
